Hi, I’m Robbie! I’m a recent graduate from Ball State University with a degree in journalism and creative writing.
I was a 2019 American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) editorial intern at Bustle Digital Group. Before that, I worked as an intern-reporter at WFYI-FM, an NPR member station in Indianapolis.
I have experience writing for web, print and radio. I’ve covered topics like film, television, music, books, theater, health and breaking news. I’m passionate about covering topics relating to celebrity culture and queer culture. I’ve contributed work to Bustle, Elite Daily, WFYI-FM, Ball Bearings, Ball State Daily News, and freelanced for PopSugar.
My photo essay, “How Would You Change the World?” published in Ball Bearings magazine won a second-place Gold Circle Award for a photo story presented by The Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
On the rare occasion that I’m not writing, I’m most likely lost in a Joni Mitchell song or probably watching Derry Girls or The Great British Bake Off or watching the cast of Derry Girls bake on The Great British Bake Off and wishing I could get a handshake from Paul Hollywood.
I’d love to write for you! Let’s get in touch!
